Derwentside Cycling Club is based in the North East of England stretching from Hexham through to Gateshead from the Derwent Reservoir along the Derwent Walk. The club runs a 10 mile time trial series which takes place around the Derwent Reservoir each year between the end of April and the end of August. Over the year the club runs 18 time trials in this series & the season finishes off with a hill climb event. We also run a Go Ride Club based Whickham Thorns and runs all year round with just a few weeks off at Christmas. We also run a reliability ride during the year called The Derwent Dash. The club also runs a few BC cyclo-cross events during the year in which we have adult members as well as our junior members from our Go Ride Club take part. Joining the Club.
The easy way, come along to the 10 mile time trial and ask for any committee Member. Most members join on the first club 10 of the year. How much to join? £10.00 or £5.00 if unwaged. You can download a membership form to bring along ready here Membership Form.
